A New Home Built Through a Humanitarian Initiative
Abdur Razzak, a resident of Falsatia village in Mahadebpur Union of Shibalaya Upazila, Manikganj, lost his home and became completely destitute after a devastating fire. Having lost his shelter, he was struggling to get through his days in extreme hardship. The Shatorupa Humanitarian Development Foundation learned about his plight through journalist Shamim Mia.
After receiving the news, the Foundation took the initiative to verify the incident. Once the situation was confirmed, the Foundation, in consultation with its Founder and Chairman, Md. Sohag, decided to stand beside Abdur Razzak and provide him with the necessary support.
A key role in making this humanitarian initiative a reality was played by the Foundation’s Secretary General and renowned humanitarian, Mozammel Hossain Molla. Through his sincere efforts, guidance and overall support, the construction of a new home for Abdur Razzak was undertaken.
With the collective support of the Foundation’s members, well-wishers and contributors, a new home was eventually built for Abdur Razzak. This initiative did more than provide a family with a roof over their heads; it brought a renewed sense of hope and dignity to a person who had lost everything in the devastating fire.
Handover of the New Home
Following the completion of the construction, the new home was formally handed over to Abdur Razzak and his family. The handover ceremony was attended by Md. Shahjahan, Chairman of Mahadebpur Union Parishad; Shafiqul Islam Setu, Joint Secretary General of Shatorupa Humanitarian Development Foundation; Md. Ramjan Ali; Mahabub Selim, Mahabubur Rahman Manik, Rafiqul Islam and Mohammad Ali of Manikganj District SSC Batch-97; Akash Chowdhury, Administrator of Manikganj Unnoyoner Poth; Md. Akram Hossain of Bangla Vision; Saiful Islam, Administrator of Shibalaya-1850 Group, along with local dignitaries and people from various walks of life.
At the ceremony, the guests highly appreciated the humanitarian activities being carried out under the leadership of Md. Sohag, Founder and Chairman of Shatorupa Humanitarian Development Foundation. They also praised the continued humanitarian efforts of the Foundation’s Secretary General and renowned humanitarian, Mozammel Hossain Molla, for standing beside disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
The speakers emphasized that standing beside people in times of hardship is one of the greatest expressions of humanity. The initiative to build a new home for Abdur Razzak was highlighted as another shining example of the Foundation’s commitment to serving people in need.
The Shatorupa Humanitarian Development Foundation expressed its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed financially, physically, or through their time, advice and other forms of support to make this humanitarian initiative successful. Special prayers were also offered for the Foundation’s members, supporters, contributors and well-wishers.
The entire initiative was completed with dedication and sincerity under the overall supervision of Sarwar Hossain Sentu of SSC Batch-97, whose responsible role and commitment were also deeply appreciated.
Upon receiving his new home, Abdur Razzak expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Md. Sohag, Founder and Chairman of Shatorupa Humanitarian Development Foundation; Mozammel Hossain Molla, Secretary General and renowned humanitarian; and all members, supporters and well-wishers of the Foundation. He also prayed for their continued well-being and success.
