Shahid Sagnik (Abdus Shahid) is a respected retired teacher, poet, and social worker who has dedicated much of his life to education, literature, and community service. He began his teaching career in 1965 and retired in 2005 as a Head Teacher. Alongside teaching, he remained actively involved in writing and progressive social activities.
Since 2024, he has been suffering from various age-related health complications and has been bedridden for nearly a year. Although he underwent an operation in 2025 with the support of well-wishers, he later developed further complications. Due to financial hardship, it has now become increasingly difficult for him to continue his medical treatment and purchase the necessary medicines.
During this difficult time, Shahid Sagnik (Abdus Shahid) has sought financial assistance from Shatorupa Manobik Unnayan Foundation.
We sincerely appeal to our respected members, supporters, and well-wishers to extend their helping hands according to their ability. Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference in supporting the treatment and well-being of this elderly teacher and poet who has devoted his life to serving society.
